Group Support & Meet-Ups
Volusia Pride offers support groups for individuals, families, and allies within the LGBTQ+ community. These meetings provide a safe and welcoming space for participants to share experiences, seek guidance, and build a supportive network.
The groups address various topics, including the needs of our BIPOC Community Members, Youth and Families, Mental health, and Allyship.
By fostering open dialogue and mutual support, these sessions empower individuals to navigate challenges and celebrate their unique journeys, reinforcing a sense of belonging.

This group is a reserved space dedicated to celebrating and supporting LGBTQ+ individuals of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color backgrounds. This meet-up fosters community connection, cultural exchange, and open discussions on shared experiences, challenges, and triumphs. Participants can connect with others who understand the intersections of race, culture, and LGBTQ+ identity, building a strong, resilient, and empowered network.
We kindly ask allies to join us in spirit and understand that this space is dedicated to BIPOC voices. Thank you for your understanding and solidarity.

The Wellness Support Group is a coach led support space where participants can connect, share experiences, and learn from one another. Through guided discussions, interactive workshops, and personalized advice, participants will explore practical strategies for enhancing their overall well-being. The program emphasizes creating sustainable habits that promote long-term health and personal growth.

Beginning in February 2025, our Wellness Support Group will meet on the first Monday of each month.
The Wellness Support Group provides year long peer-support on your journey to improved health. Come for motivation, accountability, or to find community with people that understand the challenges and triumphs you experience.

Program cost - We do not want cost to be a barrier to participation. For those able to contribute, we have a suggested donation of $10 per meeting to cover activity and operational costs.

Steps with Pride is an LGBTQ+ inclusive, 12-step recovery support group that provides a safe, affirming space for individuals navigating sobriety and healing. Based on the secular 12 steps, Steps with Pride centers the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals, offering support, solidarity, and community without fear of judgment or discrimination. Whether you're just beginning your journey or maintaining long-term recovery, you are welcome here. The group meets weekly and is open to all LGBTQ+ people and allies seeking connection and recovery in a space that honors your identity and story.

This group is designed for LGBTQ+ seniors to connect, share experiences, and build friendships. This supportive space allows older adults to engage in open conversations, enjoy social activities, and celebrate a lifetime of pride. Together, participants can explore topics relevant to their lives, find community, and connect with others who understand the unique joys and challenges of aging within the LGBTQ+ community.

When: Monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 11:30am.

A fun and inclusive space for LGBTQ+ parents and their toddlers to play, connect, and build community. This group offers little ones a chance to explore and socialize while parents share experiences, support, and resources in a welcoming and affirming environment. Join us for playtime, laughter, and meaningful connections!
This group is for parents and caregivers of young children (tots from 1 year to 5 years old) who identify as LGBTQ+. Siblings of toddlers are also welcome!
When: Monthly on the 3rd Thursday from 11:30am-1pm

The youth Dungeons & Dragons group provides a safe and affirming space, offers participants a welcoming environment to explore creativity, build social connections, and develop problem-solving skills. The group emphasizes inclusivity and respect, allowing players of all identities and backgrounds to feel seen and valued. Campaigns and content focus on uplifting narratives, diverse characters, and collaborative storytelling that fosters a sense of belonging and empowerment.

Whether you're an avid reader or just discovering LGBTQ+ literature, this club offers a supportive environment to engage, learn, and share perspectives.

Come together to play, trade cards, and share your passion for Magic the Gathering. This meet-up welcomes players of all skill levels, from beginners learning the basics to seasoned veterans looking for competitive play.
The meet-up fosters a friendly, inclusive atmosphere, encouraging social interaction and connection. Players can participate in casual games while discussing strategies, deck-building ideas, and the game's lore.

Join host, Theater Guy, and the Rainbow Cinema Club as we watch an LGBTQ+ themed film and discussion about it. The main goal is to help educate the LGBTQ+ experience through the power of Queer Storytelling.

Family Dinner – A Community Potluck Tradition
Family Dinner is a monthly potluck gathering where our chosen family comes together to share food, laughter, and connection. Everyone brings a dish—simple or elaborate, store-bought or homemade—to contribute to a communal meal built with variety, warmth, and love.
It’s a space where community is built one shared plate at a time, where new friendships form, and where everyone has a seat at the table. No matter what you bring or how you show up, you’re part of the family.
Join us every third Friday of the month as we celebrate the joy of gathering, sharing, and creating community through food.

January – Big Game Favorites - Kick off the new year with everyone’s favorite game-day eats! Bring your best stadium snacks, crowd-pleasing appetizers, or halftime-worthy mains. From wings and dips to sliders and nachos, let’s build the ultimate Big Game buffet.
February – Charcuterie Boards - It’s a board-bonanza! Bring your most creative charcuterie board—sweet, savory, themed, vegan, budget-friendly, or experimental. Cheese, meats, fruits, chocolates, snacks… if it fits on a board, it’s welcome.
March – Ramen Night - Slurp season is here! Bring your favorite ramen toppings, broths, noodles, or sides. Whether you craft a gourmet bowl or elevate classic instant ramen, we’ll build warm, customizable creations together.
April – Spring Favorites - Celebrate the season with bright, fresh flavors. Bring dishes that remind you of spring—salads, pastas, veggies, fruit desserts, light bites, or anything that feels sunny and seasonal.
May – Taco Night - It’s taco time! Bring fillings, toppings, shells, sides, or your favorite salsa. Soft, crunchy, fusion, traditional—anything that can be folded into a taco (or eaten with chips) is fair game.
June – Backyard BBQ - Channel those summer cookout vibes! Bring grilled favorites, BBQ classics, refreshing sides, or picnic-style desserts. From burgers and brats to potato salad and cobbler, let’s create a backyard feast together.
July – Mac and Cheese Night - July 14th is Mac & Cheese Day! Celebrate the cheesiest day of the year with every kind of mac imaginable. Classic, baked, spicy, loaded, vegan, gourmet—if it’s mac and cheese, it belongs here. Bonus points for creativity!
August – Baked Potato Bar - August 19th is Potato Day! Load ’em up! Bring toppings, fillings, or creative potato-themed sides. From classic sour cream and cheese to chili, veggies, bacon, or unexpected flavors, we’ll build the ultimate baked potato mountain.
September – Chili Night - It’s cozy-season kickoff! Bring your favorite chili—meaty, vegetarian, white chicken, spicy, sweet, or bean-packed—or bring sides, toppings, breads, or cornbread to complete the spread.
October – Spooky Favorites - Creepy, cute, or downright bizarre dishes are welcome! Bring Halloween-themed treats, eerie appetizers, hauntingly good mains, or foods disguised as something spooky. Costumes optional but encouraged.
November – Comfort Foods - Warm, nostalgic, and filling—bring the dishes that feel like a hug. Casseroles, soups, pies, pastas, stews, breads, sweets… if it makes you feel cozy, it belongs here.
December – Festivus Party - A Festivus for the rest of us! Bring your favorite holiday-adjacent dish, potluck classic, or something that pairs perfectly with the Airing of Grievances. Expect laughs, good food, and all the traditional Festivus chaos.

An informal gathering of musicians coming together to play, improvise, and create music collaboratively.
Open to all skill levels and instruments, it’s a relaxed space where participants can experiment with different styles, share ideas, and learn from each other. Whether covering familiar songs, exploring new sounds, or composing on the spot, the focus is on creativity, connection, and fun.
All musicians and singers are welcome! All experience levels are encouraged!
