Upcoming Special Events

  • 2026 Candidate Forum

    On Thursday, July 16, 2026, Volusia Pride will host a public Candidate Forum at Abbey Bar from 5:00–8:00 PM. This event provides an opportunity for community members to hear directly from candidates running for local, state, and federal offices.

    Registered candidates have submitted responses to a set of questions. These responses will be published on the Volusia Pride website prior to the event to help voters learn more about each candidate’s positions. Candidates may register at: www.volusiapride.org/candidates-2026

    During the forum, each candidate will have dedicated time to speak and respond to questions from both the in-person audience and virtual participants. The event will be livestreamed, and community members may also submit questions online.

    This project was funded by a grant from the Contigo Fund, a fiscally sponsored project of the Proteus Fund.

  • Pride Prom 2026: Heroes and Villains

    Get ready for a night of epic showdowns, legendary looks, and unforgettable fun at Lake Helen Pride Prom 2026! Join us on Saturday, July 18th from 7:00–10:00 PM at Hopkins Hall for a themed prom where heroes and villains take the dance floor. Whether you channel a Disney icon, a Marvel powerhouse, a Pixar favorite, or your own heroic or villainous alter ego, costumes and creative prom looks are highly encouraged.

  • Steps with Pride is an LGBTQ+ inclusive, 12-step recovery support group that provides a safe, affirming space for individuals navigating sobriety and healing.

  • This group is a reserved space dedicated to celebrating and supporting LGBTQ+ individuals of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color backgrounds.

    We kindly ask allies to join us in spirit and understand that this space is dedicated to BIPOC voices. Thank you for your understanding and solidarity.

    Join us for our next What’s the Tea with Volusia Pride, a quarterly community gathering designed to keep our LGBTQ+ community and allies informed, engaged, and connected. This session’s spotlight is on voter engagement and civic action: how local decisions shape our daily lives, what’s on the horizon in Volusia County and Florida, and practical steps you can take to make your voice count.

  • Get ready for a night of epic showdowns, legendary looks, and unforgettable fun at Lake Helen Pride Prom 2026! Join us on Saturday, July 18th from 7:00–10:00 PM at Hopkins Hall (192 Connecticut Ave., Lake Helen, FL 32744) for a themed prom where heroes and villains take the dance floor. Whether you channel a Disney icon, a Marvel powerhouse, a Pixar favorite, or your own heroic or villainous alter ego, costumes and creative prom looks are highly encouraged.

    Tickets are $20 and the event is 18+ only. Admission includes access to the prom, DJ’d music, dancing, free snack food, a themed photo opportunity, and hosted entertainment by Kirk with free tip-able performances from All the Queen's Men throughout the evening. Guests will also have the chance to compete for special honors, including the 2026 Gem of the Year sash and being crowned Prom King and Queen, complete with a special crowning moment and dance.

    Space is limited, so get your tickets early to secure your spot. Whether you arrive as a hero, a villain, or somewhere in between, this is your chance to celebrate pride, community, and a little bit of prom-night magic.
